Wow, so many things to update about. Sorry for not doing so the last few days! Hmmm, so what has happened since the last time I've updated?

1) Move over world, a new killer's on the road!
Well, almost. =P I passed my driver's test a few weeks back, and have been driving around in my mum's City and dad's Kia. Still have to adjust to the cars though. =)

2) Physics project passed!
Rube Goldberg project passed and performed superbly. Curious as to how it went? Refer one post back and click on the link provided. Note: You must be logged in to facebook to be able to view it.

And today? Woke up in the morning to discover that our neighbour's one and only koi fish that was residing in our pond had mysteriously died and was found floating on the water. Cause of death was not known though. =/

My job? I tried digging a grave for it in the 'backyard' and successfully obtained two gigantic blisters on my left hand while handling the hoe. Rest in peace fishy.

1st May bonanza

Well yeah, so yesterday was an extra holiday for us. That meant an extra long weekend for us! =D Well, the S3 Malaysia-Monash took advantage of this extra day for a sleepover at my house. We hung around Sunway Pyramid on Thursday, having dinner with another of our collegmates, Wei Hsien. Lepak till about 9pm, then Gabriel, Edward, Gene, Jia Yean, Amanda and I made our way back home.

Had one round of Squad Seven, a few rounds of poker (which I undoubtedly lost) with while some went over to the computers for a LAN game (Age of Mythology I think). Lights out at around 2am.

In case you didn't know what Squad Seven looked like, here it is. A unique game, where you depend on your sight, hearing and agility instead of standard dice rolls.

Woke up at 8.30am, found them lying round in various sleeping positions. Gabriel, who took the sofa initally, ended up sleeping on the floor because Edward took the 2-man matress for himself. Haha, Eddie was so cold he wrapped himself up with the matress to avoid the 'sandstorm'. Jia Yean was already up, and Gene was wrapped in a coccoon with the help of his blanket.

Had breakfast at Little Ben, a nearby concept restaurant. Wanted to go to the club for gym and a round of futsal. However, no such luck there as gym was reserved for members only, and they had taken down the futsal and basketball courts. :(

Returned back home to a small field where we eventually had our round of football under the hot blazing sun. Boy was I cooked like a potato! xD

In a nutshell, we had a great time, and I have lots of souvenirs (toiletries and scrunchies which were left behind. :P Gonna have to return them to their various owners on Monday!

Went to Monash today for the Mid-Sem buddy-buddee meet. Very sleepy though, but I had fun. Got to know a few seniors and freshies better, and had a game of basketball. I have not touched the ball since..... 2 years? o_0

Well, off to do my assignments, which have been piling up without me knowing. :/

So the mid semester exams are over, and it was kinda fun. Dynamics was a killer though. As Nicholas Lim would say: "Die-namics". Anyways, today was the final paper, physics. A bit tough, almost couldn't finish the questions.

Blerrgh. Enough about exams. :P

Went out with a few of my college/uni-mates to Sunway Pyramid today to meet up with an old friend. Ended up in Redbox. Estimated price was about RM8, but we spent RM16 on 'karaoke'ing. Have to cut costs this week.

Slight sore throat now due to belting out tunes at the tops of our voices. My voice is kinda funny, the songs are either one octave too high, or one octave too low for me to cope with at times, thus having to crack my voice to keep up.

In other news, a truckload of crayons were hijacked earlier this afternoon. Witnesses say that a furry little red humanoid looking creature with an orange nose is believed to be the suspect. Authorities are trying to bait said suspect into the open by playing the "Elmo's world" song, which many claim would bring the suspect scurrying out to join hands with the source and start dancing.

Well, I spent the last weekend supposedly studying. Note the use of the word 'supposedly'. Well anyways, my friends from the School of Engineering came over for a BBQ party at my house last Saturday. Well, it was a blast! :D

Yun Xin, Wei Leong, Darren and I even sneaked out for a while to get a birthday cake for Eric (which, by the time I post this, will be your birthday! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC! =D).

Coming back, we left the cake in the car and mingled a bit more. At around 10pm we took the cake out and surprised Eric, who was waiting in the ~~sauna~~ kitchen with the rest of the group.

The only let down was when my sister insisted that she cut Eric's cake and made a mess out of it, getting her hands everywhere. Sorry guys! >_<

Yus, sorry for the lack of updates, I've been turning my house inside out to find my camera. You heard it right, I lost my camera. :/ I've checked Monash, the house, and even outside the house, you may never know where it went. I think it got fed uup of me taking to many random pictures that my camera just grew legs and ran away. D:

Next week's exam week, so you won't be hearing much from me. I'll be so busy drowning in various engineering subjects, trying to recall what our lecturers taught us in the past weeks.

Haha, I guess I failed both driving tests today. I failed the slope, car went backwards instead of forwards. :/ As for on the road, let's just say the tester 'sabo'-ed me. He was in a hurry to get back to the institute to get more students who has actually left aside some prayer money. Remember, I didn't partake in this ritual. At least not yet.

And what fun, due to unforeseen circumstances, I won't be able to take my driving test till next month!

Oh, and did I mention that I met one of my ex-junior-schoolmate there? It was surprising, but yeah, I did meet Yi Koon there after failing both tests. School memories...

Egg.. err, Earth Hour

In other news, I promised to tell you about our results for the Formula-R. Well, it was okay, t=though we could have done better. Most of the teams there had the same design actually, and we were one of the stereotypes too. Surprising, no?

In the end, the one with the most unique launching system managed to travel the furthest, a whopping 14.5 m. They had an overhead catapult system which launched the egg vehicle off the ground, giving it some air time. So that's their secret!

Our team managed to go about less than half of their distance, a mere 6.9m maximum. Nevertheless, I'm still satisfied as we had only managed up to 5 m in our test runs. There was also a tendency for the egg to flip over, as seen in the previous post.

Egg Disaster

Yes, yes, this is another post on eggs. xP Our group went to test out our egg vehicle to day, and didn't really go off to a good start. Here's what happened:

(1) We didn't check the surface of the floor, turns out it was uneven. (2) Vehicle hits uneven floor at high velocity, flipping over. (3) *smash* Scrambled eggs anyone?

Back to the drawing board for us!

Also, I went to this 'Gelateria' (is this how you spell it?) near my house to have some scrumptious ice cream. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera, so all I could spare you was a picture of 'spaghetti' ice cream (ice cream made into little strands looking like spaghetti). Trust me, it's waay more delicious than it looks, and it looks good already!

Topped with raisins and nuts, who could ask for more? Mmm, delish! (Yes, those noodle-like strands are ice cream!)

Of Eggs and Cars

What a day! I woke up early in the morning, got dressed, had some breakfast. Then I went to Monash to test out our "Formula-R" egg vehicle. It's a physics project actually, where you would have to use one, and only one rubber band, to power the egg vehicle and make it travel the furthest distance. No rotating parts (which means no wheels), no lubricants (oil, powder, water, ice, etc.) and the egg must not break during it's travel. Sounds like a lot of work! Well I've got news for you readers: it is! Well, at least the planning was. =P

No, I'm not going to tell you how my project fared, at least not until race day, which would be on Thursday. Wait till then! ;)

In the afternoon, I had my 3rd driving lesson. Driving on the road this time, and well, let's just say I suck at roundabouts and traffic lights. D: I should be lucky the Kancil I was in didn't turn out to be like this:

Rummaging through his drawers, this unfortunate blogger has finally found the key to his blog. 7 long months it has been since he saw the contents of his blog.

He took a wet cloth and wiped off the thick layer of dust that had settled on his blog after more than half a year of not using it.

Taking out some soap, a mop, and a feather duster, he began cleaning it, tidying it up, and adding a few stuff to keep up with the times.

Codex: A WTF?! Story

Went over to Amcorp Mall on Sunday. Dad took me out shopping for books as my brother was complaining about the lack of books at home. Lack of books indeed. =P

Anyways, came across this book at Book Xcess:

I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

A good story, with a complicated plot and two totally different scenes which somehow fit together(I'm still trying to figure out how they fit though) but a really really really crappy ending. =(

The ending was like, hanging. No resolution or whatsoever. it just left the poor character in a posh house with a blurr quizzical look. Meh =.=

Hmm, it's been a while since I've blogged. Don't blame me, CT2's were knocking on my doorstep. That's Common Test 2 for you guys out there.

Well, Monday, I was feeling crummy. Why? Seems that I've lost my wallet. Still hasn't been found yet. Gnhh. On Tuesday, I was still in the dumps. Well, at least till i reached home from college, and saw this box in the hallway marked "DELL". OMG! It's here!~

Please excuse the blurriness of the pictures. I was using my phone camera to take it, since it was easier to send it to the laptop via bluetooth. Notice the mouse is also wireless [Bluetooth!].

Haha. My first laptop! Damn nice. And it's Vista! Woot!

Well, I'd like to thank my dad for this laptop, as he understood my problems in college of finding a computer and proceeded to get one for me. =) My heartfelt thanks!

Not really the one to prank people, but this year i had a great brainstorm. Why not set the clocks one hour faster? xD

Back home, i did exactly just that. I even set my mum's handphone 1 hour faster. Naturally, when she looked at the time, she was bewildered. Consequently, she rushed to cook dinner. xDD

While she was busy cooking, i set the clocks back to their original time. When she finished cooking, she was really confused.

I let my mum think about the complication until during dinner, i told her what happened. The result was hilarious.

And that was my prank for April the 1st. =)

Starting to freak out now. First batch of exams are coming out next week. I don't think I'll have time to blog anymore. Much as i'd hate to, maybe i should close this blog down? At least that's one less blog for you ppl to visit. xD

Nothing much really happened during CNY. Went back to Penang and visited our relatives there. I came back on Saturday, and played fireworks with my neighbor that night. The amount of fireworks they have is massive! no pictures, i was too engrossed in reducing an aluminum can to ashes. Didn't succeed though. :P

Well, gotta go back to my assignment. There's HEAPS! =(

They are the ex-form5 students of SMK USJ 12 '06, now currently pursuing their own degrees in whatever. Even though they're separated, they still find a way to keep in touch. Such is the strength of their friendship. *applause*

What really makes me look up to them is their ability to still keep in touch after so long. Read the posts there and you'll understand. These are the elite few who go through thick and thin to maintain their friendship, making sure it never wavers.

It's the second week of college life for me, and hopefully I'm re-adjusting. I must learn how to control my spendings (RM 30++ this week ><). If I'm not careful, I night be broke by the end of this month. ~.~

The subjects so far are okay, although specialist math is getting very confusing. Heck, it's only the first chapter! Of course, I was never good in trigonometry (sin, cos, tan... Ring any bells?)

Chemistry's a bit like biology now. We're studying the nitrogen and carbon cycle. (I was never good at these topics either) So I guess I'll either have to buck up, or else I'll be doing badly in two of my fav subjects ):

... it's all right.. The facilities here are nice, and the timing between subjects are cool. We have like 10 minutes after every lesson, where we're able to leave class and stretch our legs. ^^

So far so good. The only complaint i have are the food prices. Inside and outside the campus, the prices are sky-high. A bread-n-butter sandwich in the cafeteria costs RM 2.00. Outside, an iced barley drink costs RM 1.50. Extreme.

On the plus side, good lecturers. We also have free lockers and free Internet. :P

My blogging sucks. My writing skills have gone down the drain. Oh well, maybe as the semester progresses, it'll be better? Hopefully..

Back from Penang

I'm back from Penang, and it was quite fun there. ^^

Went to the beach, got stung by jellyfish.
Hotel towel flew 8 floors down onto a roof.
Hit my head on the swimming pool wall.
Hiked 2.3 km to Pantai Kerachut.

Nothing much to do except go to the beach in the morning, then take a dip in the swimming pool. Go out for lunch, then return to the hotel and watch some TV. In the evening, go to the beach again, then back to the pool. XD

In Penang, Hazieq sms'ed me about Nasir's mishap. Get well soon! We'll be waiting.~ =)

Sorry for the late updates, was in Hong Kong for holidays. Hehe. Hong Kong is cold. Really cold. I went there with a few friends. The first impression I had when we landed was, "I can't see the sky!". It was either caused by haze or mist, since it was winter time. My dad believed it to be the former. We stayed in Ocean pacific, at Tsin Sha Tsui. That night, we walked to the Arena of Stars, where we watched a light show.

Second day, we went to Hong Disneyland. A bit of a let down, actually. Not many thrilling rides, but the shows were ok. The guys spent most of their time in Tomorrowland. The fireworks at night were the most interesting part of the theme park for me. Unfortunately, the camera died before I could take some nice photos. =.=;

The next day, we went to see the Giant Buddha, at Lantau Island. Argh! It's a very serene place, quiet and peaceful. The view there was nice. Why did I say argh? The number of steps to climb was phenomenal! XD We counted about 250 steps. (craizee!) At night, we went to Mong Kok, a market where the prices are low. (not) It was more for the mums and the girls, but we just tagged along. Oh yeah, I bought a new pair of shoes at a shopping mall nearby! XD

On the fourth day, things really got heated up. Taking the MTR, Mass Transport Railway (or something like that) we went to Admiralty. From there, we took a bus to another theme park, namely, Ocean Park. The rides there were extreme! =P It was way better then Disneyland.

The next day was bye bye Hong Kong. Time flies when you're having fun, and that's a fact. =( At about 6.50, we touched down in Malaysia. At least the weather here is better than in HK, the air cleaner.

Reunion party

Well, I'm not sure you could call it a reunion party, since it's only a few days since we left school. We met at Big Boy in Taipan, and after dinner, left for Jo Ann's house. Played Twister and Taboo there. (intense!)

I went back early, since my mum came early to pick me up. XP

Got those two at Jusco in Sunway pyramid yesterday while celebrating Carmen's birthday. Happy birthday Carmen! =p We went bowling, and I won both frames. Hehe.

The balls which we used. I didn't know 5 people could use so many. @.@ After that, we went to eat sushi, and i tried something new, a mashed potato style sushi. (At least I think it is mashed potato. =p)

It was alright. The green stuff on top is not wasabi, if you were wondering. It's actually a green pea.

After lunch, we all just wandered around the complex. Chin Wei, Bee Shan and I went searching for Popular bookstore, but it turned out that it was still under construction. Stupid directory. XD

Taylor's Principal Awards Interview ~ The Results.

Well, nothing much to say, except it was waaay better than the scholarship at HELP. My hand phone didn't beep; it was with my dad for safekeeping. I didn't mess up my interview session, and the interviewer seemed really friendly.

I went there and met a few of my classmates, and we seemed nervous. Well, what do you expect to feel before an interview? After the briefing, we went to do our interviews. I was one of the last few to be called. As usual, they pronounced my name wrongly(See-aan Chew?). Heh.

The interview wasn't too bad, in fact, it was just like a normal chatting session. The interviewer was really friendly, not like those from HELP. Before I knew it, we had already finished. Cool! I think I shall go to Taylor's, with or without the scholarship. Of course, it would help to ease the financial burden for my parents if I did get the scholarship.

Metal on the road

Seems we are not really doing a good job on maintaining the safety of roads. Look what happened to my dad's car tyre!

That is a piece of unidentified metal lying around on the road. My dad's car happened to go over it, and the metal pierced his tyre. Luckily, my dad was driving slowly. I shudder to think what would have happened if my dad was driving fast.

In another incident sometime ago, my transporter's car also suffered a similar incident, only much worse. He was driving much faster, and ran over something sharp. The tyre exploded, sending the car flying into the air, spinning it 180 degrees. The car even had enough air time to land smack onto another car. This sent the car out of commission for about a month or so, I can't remember. Luckily he was not injured.

So guys, do your bit to help pick up sharp objects on the road. Tekno Kid out.

Manic Weekend!

Well, the weekend was scary. Friday, my mum had a party. We turned on the front spotlight, and lo and behold, the spotlight popped (fireworks!). It caught fire, and we had to extinguish it with a few cuppa water. The next day, we took a look at the damage. and this is what happened:

That was the most interesting part of the party. Glass was raining everywhere. I managed to rescue a few shards:

The next day, we had a sort of mooncake festival. I made my sign again. Xp

The party was sort of a disaster, with missing plastic bags and lack of food. Fortunately I had already had my dinner before that. Some of the guests ended up burning leaves and rubbish!

Whew, SPM trials are over. Sorry for the lack of update. Life's pretty boring now. All I do is study, study, study. My computer was reformatted recently as well, so I'm taking things little by little.

I'm envious at my brother. He finished his UPSR! >.< I'm jealous. XD

Today we had Ko-kurikulum Day. All we had to do was run around getting signatures from teachers verifying that we have done the activities we wrote down. We did this to get marks for our extra-curricular activities. the day was just friggin' boring. Half the time was spent talking while the other half was spent yakking away with friends. What a way to spend the day.

Retirement

Man, this is harsh on me. I miss my prefect life. That's right, guys, the seniors of the prefect board of SMK USJ 12 have officially retired last Tuesday. Sad, ain't it? We'll be passing down the board to the Form 4's. Led by Nickolai, they'll do a great job bringing up our board, I'm confident of that.

On Tuesday, we had assembly. The prefects made a formation, and a very elaborate retirement was held. All the stuff there were strictly formal, which made things boring. My blazer was soaked through by the time I took it off. Well, I thought that was that, but the Form 4's had a different idea.

The previous day, we were told to stay back after school on Tuesday. Hm, I wonder. Well, my suspicions were confirmed when we entered the Dewan Aura. The committee of 07/08 had actually prepared a surprise retirement party for us! (^.^) How sweet. I thank them all for doing this, it really moved my heart.

I finally downloaded our prefect 'retirement song'! It's by Vitamin C, and the son is titled 'Graduation'. A very sentimental song about parting ways. Well, that's that, then. I leave the board with a very heavy heart, and I thank you all for letting me work with you! ='(

Well then, I have this habit of clicking stuff, and it so happened I clicked a link that led me to a blogspot site that so happens to be a spyware site. Naturally, i panicked, but it's all good now. Just to let you guys know:

DO NOT CLICK ON www.oyun-yemek.blogspot.com !!

When clicked, it will redirect you to a page that asks you to get WinSpyware Scanner or sumthing like that. Then, when you close your browser, everytime, a window pops up, with the title 'asD'. The message is 'release'. Then you'd better scan your computer and eradicate that spyware. Evil little thing.

Plus, I'm changing my Tagbox. Sorry guys.

Of Sprains and Cramps

Today was co-curriculum day. Seeing as it was the last co-curriculum day, I somehow decided to go. As soon as i reached school, I knew I was much better off at home studying.

As it was, I came home with a bruise on my leg. Willie throws the ball too hard. =p When I reached back home, the first thing that happened to me was my legs cramping up. Later in the evening, it cramped up again. As I recall these incidents, I cannot help but remember that the night before, my leg cramped. The same place for the three times it happened. Now I'm left with a stiff and sore left ankle. This is going to be a burden when i play basketball in future.

Ah well, enough of that. Now for some pictures!

Camp~sys! Day 3

Not really sure what time the participants woke up today, but when I woke up, they were already being briefed by Kunil on what to do today. Of course: Cleanup time.

All of us had to clean up the whole school after the camp, judging by the mess we made, it wasn't fun. The groups were assigned to various parts of the school to clean whatever mess we made there.

After cleaning, at 11.30 a.m., the participants went back. The facilitators stayed back for a while to do a bit of catching up.

Behind the scenes facts:
~ Kunil broke 5 eggs while trying to pick up the egg cartons.
~ We had a water balloon fight in the dataran after participants left.
~ Sparkling water for everyone!
~ Ivan threw a water balloon up into the blades of a spinning fan. Naturally, it burst into a cascade of water.
~ Sonia was constantly avoiding Da Wei, but she got a cupful of water dowm her back in the end.
~ During the blinfolded eggs, when group 5 was trying to pass the bench, Jonathan cramped his legs. All he could say in a toneless voice: Er, Wei Hsien? Leg cramp.
~ Most of the participants went back and slept till the next morning.
~ Most of us looked like we were having chicken pox, courtesy of the mosquitoes.

Camp~sys! Day 2

So, as for day 2 of the camp, I woke up around 5-ish. To my surprise, the participants were already awake! (I'm so proud!) Throughout my whole facilitating experience, never has there been a time when the participants woke themselves up. Of course, they were never allowed watches back then.

At about 7 in the morning, the participants had their exercise, warming up and stuff. Then, breakfast. Today's was a dull packet of fried noodles. The milo was good, though.

Then, back to the Aulia Hall for a plenary session: Q & A. Things were a bit bumpy, but other than that, it was ok.

10 o'clock marked the start of the next plenary session: Presidential Debate 2007/08. This was done to find out the most suitable candidates for the Prefect Board of 07/08.

Surprise! I was emcee for the day. ~~I never had any experience emcee'ing before. :-/~~ You saw nothing.

After lunch, we had an event: Pirates of the Carribean. It was basically like station to station, but when you lost in a war, you had to surrender all your money to the opposing team. Of course, what is an event without a few glitches? Hehe. No pictures for this event as I was manning the LEGO buildup part of the game.

After that, back to the Aulia room for a bit, did a bit of group work (Design your own newspaper). Then, we all had to prepare for the big event: the formal dinner. Well, actually it was the participants who had to prepare, we just monitored them.

Then, around 8 o'clock, the dinner began. Mark my word, the participants did a great job setting up Bitara Hall. The place looked like a 5-star restaurant. There was even a modified sketch of 'Cinderella'.

Then, the dinner adjourned around 9. Then we had the group sketches. I was too sleepy to take any photos then. After the group sketches, they changed into their sports attire to have another midnight activity. This time, we blindfolded the participants except for their group leaders. The group leaders had to guide them across a distance whilst the blindfolded participants had to balance five eggs on tables. Naturally, a lot of eggs were broken.

We ended up sleeping at the basketball court after completing the task. Then, we all moved back to the dataran, where the participants were briefed on the next task: 'Kunang-Kunang Kunil'. It was some sort of treasure hunt in the darkness, non of the teams managed to solve it. They went to bed around 5 in the morning.

Regretfully for me, fatigue took over me and I somehow ended up sleeping in the dataran, in full view of the participants. =.=' Ah well, facilitators do make mistakes sometimes, don't they? Sorry, Kunil.

And thus ends day 2 if the camp.

Camp~sys! Day 1

As promised, here it is.

The participants arrived in a sweltering afternoon on Friday the 13th. They all went up to the Aulia Hall to register, then we had our first event - Ice Breaking Session. Here, the participants were supposed to tell a story using only movement, no sound. =)

By the time that was done, I think we had dinner. Urgh, can't remember much. This is what lack of sleep does to ya ;)

Next, we had all the talks regarding the role of prefects, their attitudes, and so on. By the time we had finished all the talks (There was one by Kunil, Bryan, Jo Ann, Diyana, and Jian Wei), it was about midnight. We sent the participants to sleep, ~~bringing out a few of them to talk to them.~~ Erm, forget i said that. =P

Eventually, I went to bed, at around 3 a.m. I had a restless sleep as there were a lot of mosquitoes. In total, I have around 150 mosquito bites on my limbs right now.

First we were like whoaaaa! Then we were like Whooa. Then we were like, wow. Yesterday was a new experience for me, playing netball. Not really my cup of tea, but what the heck.

We started, we were pumped, thinking we could win. We shoulda thought twice. Us against the 5 Cyber's: Cyberlink steamrolled us. There wasn't a second when they weren't trying to score. Those mega-tall freaks. XD

Sad to say, we didn't qualify as we lost 2 games and drew the others. At lease we tried our best. I ended up wandering about aimlessly (I could only go back at 5) until i saw the girl's futsal team. Sonia's volley was the best! Too bad there weren't any pictures. Our girl's team fared better: They went into the finals. Hopefully they'll get a trophy for us. Good luck girls! :)

Olympiad Maths Quiz

The sun was shining bright, the birds were chirping, what else could we do but go for a quiz? Ha. That WAS the only thing some of us could do as we had already registered for it. I'm not complaining, it was an experience! :)
Our team compromised of Khai Shien, Chin Wei, Carmen and me.

About 8.40 in the morning, we set off for Malaya Universiti. Let me tell you this: BIG. Get it? Yes, the campus was superbly huge! Even so, we only visited the examination hall. That itself was interesting. The floor plan was arranged in a sort of + sign. In the center of it all was a clock dangling from the ceiling and the announcement podium, where the invigilators see all.

When the paper started, I was in a mess. One glance through the paper and I knew that I have never learnt this before. A few minutes later, i had completed one of the nine questions we were supposed to answer. All in all, I managed to answer 6 of questions, 3 being 100% correct. That was how hard the paper was.

12.30 marked the time for us to leave the place. We left in Khai Shien's mom's car, and I went back to school for a meeting. Phew, tiring work, tis quiz!

Fantastic Four ~ Rise of the Silver Surfer

Hmm, last Saturday, i went to 1 Utama to watch the movie. Well, it was nice and all, but on the whole, there was plenty of gaps in the movie that i did not understand. For instance, the part where [Spoiler]Stan Lee tries to go for Reed and Susan's wedding; i wasn't sure who was Stan. Turns out he's the artist for FF.[/Spoiler]. Compared to FF1, FF2 was not so interesting. It's also not as funny. =(

Well, the two interesting parts were [Spoiler]when Johnny combined all their four powers together to fight Dr. Doom Surfer (XD) and the part where the movie reveals the cool car.[/spoiler]

All in all, i can only give it a 3 outta 5. Needs more drama, dont'cha think?

Father's Day Pre-Post Celebration

Well, yesterday night we all had a little Father's Day party at our house. The guests were mostly my mum's friends (line dancing group). We had a few performances, including a dance, a sketch, and a piano solo. This were all performed by us, the children. I was in the dance (hey, couldn't think of anything else to do! :P). Naturally, I don't dance, but circumstances were desperate.

Plus, there was also one unexpected performance. My sister volunteered to sing after seeing everyone else performing. Her songs? "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Little Teapot". What else can you expect from a 5-year old? ("Here is my teapot, here is my,.... erm, mummy what ah?" Lol.)

After the performances, we headed for the kitchen to eat (and eat, and eat, and eat). Erm. I found out in this day how much wine the parents could drink. Haha. We were supposed to have some games, but due to the weather (it rained), it was cancelled. More eating, I suppose.

At about 11 p.m. , we had the cake cutting. The cake was a Philadelphia cheesecake, topped with fruits. I have yet to try it out. Heh.

12 a.m. was the cue for everyone, in their *drunken* state, to go back home and rest. We also cleaned the house. Well, that's that then.

PS: Trying to upload videos; they take too long. So all there is are pictures. That's also why I cannot upload the mum's dance and The Trio's sketch. Anyone know a good video re-sizer software?

Heroes ~ Season End

This is official. I have finished watching the TV series 'Heroes' season 1. The final results were depressing enough. So many good people died in order to save the world, or they were murdered by a man named Sylar. Rumor has it that he eats human brains to get their power (I'm joking, hehe!)

The final episode was a blur, but it was also nice to see all the main characters (that is, those who haven't died yet) unite to destroy their main enemy: Sylar. The only thing that burned me was this: even though Hiro Nakamura stabbed Sylar in the stomach, he could very well be alive; he crawled down the sewer.

Plus, Peter Petrelli is the nuclear bomb. Surprised? Thankfully, he didn't destroy New York. However, Nathan is the cause of that. He flew himself and Peter into the heavens. They exploded in space, away from the innocent civilians of New York. Nathan died (of course! Hero or not, no one can survive a nuclear blast!).

Well, a sad ending for a near-perfect series! 5 outta 5!

Yes, for those who are clueless, this is Nathan Petrelli, big brother of Peter Petrelli. He's dead :cries:

In the background is Sylar, the brain eater. Peter Petrelli is in the foreground. I'm not sure he's still alive after he exploded into a fireball of radioactiveness. He does have instant tissue regeneration, though.

Pirates of the Carribbean!

Well, my internet's back up, so I'll post more often now. Last Sunday, I went to Summit GSC to watch Pirates of the Carribean III (Let's just call it POTC). Thing is, I've never watched POTC II! So, I was expecting plenty of gaps in the movies where I did not understand.

Thankfully, all I didn't understand was just this: Why was there so many Jack Sparrows on the Black Pearl in the Locker? haha.

The movie, on the whole was quite entertaining. A lot of hilarious scenes there. Like the one where the dwarf used a cannon to big for him. He just flew back down the stairs! That's my fav scene. =p

Anyways! 4 out of 5!

Guess what? That's Chow Yun Fatt next to Barbossa! In the movie he plays the role of Sao Feng, a Singaporean pirate. =P

Cameron Highlands

Wow, it is waaay colder up there in Cameron's. At night, it is alnost like sitting in a refridgerator! Haha. Well, I stayed at Equatorial Hotel, and that itself was an experience. The apartment my family initially stayed in was a complete disaster; doors were falling apart. The house keeping service was also horrible. When we requested for an extra towel, it did not come till evening! Urgh.

Thankfully, the management was kind enough to move us to the hotel rooms. It was better there. The room was clean, and housekeeping came almost immediately.

Surprise! I saw Xiang Ping there. Haha.

Enough about lodgings. I visited the Boh Tea Plantation. It is unbelievable! To get there, you have to drive through more mountain, and the road is only one lane wide. Naturally, there was a bit of a clog-up as cars coming in and out met at a standstill; they didn't want to move. Other cars could not pass through.

The plantation was very big. Picture this: a vast, endless surrounding of tea plants. Yep. There was nothing else up there except for tea, tea and more tea. Oh yeah, I saw my neighbours there, Shu King and Tsing Yu. Coincidence!

After the tea plantation, we went to the bee farm. Nothing much there, just a lot of bees. The honey tasted superb. Bees everywhere! Luckily, I did not have a phobia for them. XD

When we left to go back to KL (I want to stay longer! :cries: ), we used the old road, leading back out to Tapah. Guess what? We found Lata Iskandar! It's a waterfall, and the flowing water there is very cold. Of course, we had to stop and visit. A memorable memory to cap the wonderful time we had in Cameron!

Well, Cameron is a wonderful place to go for a vacation. There are plenty of flowers, chill air, tea, and strawberries! Yum, they taste nice. I strongly recommend going there for your vacation! Cheers!
